General information

Fillers or absorbable hyaluronic acid are suitable for the treatment of deep wrinkles (e.g. nasolabial folds) or small wrinkles that are already fixed (e.g. lip wrinkles, cheek wrinkles). What is the filler - hyaluronic acid Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of subcutaneous tissue. It combines with the water in the tissue. In the skin, the concentration of hyaluronic acid decreases with age. The result is skin that is less elastic and more prone to wrinkles. Fillers are substances that are injected into the skin to compensate for a loss of substance due to aging. They are most commonly used to "fill in" wrinkles. The fillers used at Clinique Bellefontaine are based exclusively on natural and completely degradable hyaluronic acid. Areas of application - Hyaluronic acid fillers are particularly suitable for injecting deep wrinkles (e.g. nasolabial folds) as well as for treating small wrinkles that have already appeared (e.g. cheek wrinkles, lip wrinkles). They are also used to restore volume (lips, bridge of the nose, dark circles, cheekbones).

Treatment procedure
At the Bellefontaine Clinic

Before the procedure

Please inform us before any hyaluronic acid injection if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have used other fillers, or are taking medications such as anticoagulants.

During the procedure

For your peace of mind, you will be given an anaesthetic cream for the area to be injected. Fillers are often combined with lidocaine (anaesthetic) to achieve a gentle injection. The filler injection is then performed in a room suitable for this treatment, where cleanliness and aseptic conditions must be maintained. The injection points are drawn on the cleaned and disinfected skin. Only approved and recognized products are used at the Bellefontaine Clinic. The injections are performed with very fine and short needles or with small cannulas. Small pink and swollen areas appear at the injection sites, which disappear after 15 minutes.

After the procedure

The effect is immediately visible as soon as the skin irritation caused by the injections has disappeared. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas after treatment. You can resume your activities immediately after the injection. The treatment usually lasts 12 to 24 months, depending on the area and the product used.

Risks and side effects

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects are small temporary bruises and redness or swelling.
