Hand Rejuvenation

As we age, the appearance of the back of the hand changes: the skin becomes thinner and more wrinkled. When the back of the hand is treated with fillers, also known as filler, the entire back of the hand regains a lasting and visibly rejuvenated appearance. Fillers based on hyaluronic acid not only improve the elasticity of the skin but also its relief.

General information

The ultimate goal of hand rejuvenation at Clinique Bellefontaine is to restore a fresher, more youthful appearance to the back of the hand. In order to rehydrate the hands, research in the field of injection treatments has developed hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are injected under the skin using a special cannula. This process removes small wrinkles and also restores volume and curvature to the back of the hand. The effect lasts for 12 to 24 months. For a permanent result, we can also rejuvenate your hand by injecting your own fat.

Qu'est-ce que le Filler - Acide hyaluronique

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of subcutaneous tissue. It combines with water in the tissue. In the skin, the concentration of hyaluronic acid decreases with age. The result is a less elastic skin that is prone to wrinkles. Fillers are substances that are injected into the skin to correct a loss of substance due to the aging process. They are most often used to "fill in" wrinkles. The fillers used at the Clinique Bellefontaine are exclusively based on natural hyaluronic acid and are fully degradable.

Treatment procedure
At the Bellefontaine Clinic

Before the procedure

Before each hyaluronic acid injection, please let us know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have used other fillers or are taking medication such as anticoagulants.

During the procedure

For your comfort, you receive an anaesthetic cream in the area to be injected. Fillers are often combined with lidocaine (an anaesthetic) to provide a softer injection. The filler injection session is then carried out in a room suitable for this treatment, where cleanliness and aseptic conditions are required. The injection points are drawn on the cleaned and disinfected skin. Only approved and recognized products are used at the Bellefontaine Clinic. Injections are performed with very fine, short needles or small cannulas. Small pink and swollen areas appear at the injection sites and disappear after 15 minutes.

After the procedure

The effect is immediately visible as soon as the skin irritations caused by the injections have disappeared. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas after treatment. You can then return to your workplace or activities immediately afterwards. As a rule, the treatment lasts 12 to 24 months on the hands.

Risks and side effects

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects are small temporary bruising and temporary redness or swelling at the injection site.
