HD Liposuction 4 D – Lausanne

High Definition Liposuction is suitable for patients who exercise regularly, have good skin quality and a BMI of 27 kg/m2 or less. During this consultation, we measure body weight, height, fat percentage and subcutaneous fat thickness. During the initial consultation, the areas to be treated are marked while standing and checked in front of a mirror. Smoking should ideally be stopped 3 weeks before and 3 weeks after liposuction. At the end of the session we will create a treatment plan tailored to your needs and expectations.

On the day of the procedure, we focus exclusively on you; no other patients are scheduled for the same surgical treatment. This gives us the time we need to perform your liposuction in peace. During the procedure, the atmosphere is very pleasant, the operating room is located in a calming place overlooking the rooftops of Lausanne. To achieve a harmonious and natural result, the problem areas are marked in an upright position with contraction of the muscles to be treated. In a lying position, the surgical area is disinfected and sterilely covered. A tumescent solution is then introduced into the marked areas through very small incisions - only 3 to 4 mm. It contains painkillers and medication to relieve further bruising. Suction is then applied using a high-resolution micro-suction cannula. Multiple checks are performed in the upright position to ensure optimal results. This procedure ensures that irregularities are avoided. For example, the abdomen looks completely different in the supine position than in the standing position. Small bumps are often only visible when standing. The duration of the procedure depends on the amount of fat to be removed and the type of anesthesia. A duration of two to four hours is common. The procedure can usually be performed on an outpatient basis. Between 1 and 4 liters of fat can be removed in one session. For health reasons, it is not recommended to remove more than 5 litres of fat per session during liposuction.

A special "Epifoam" dressing is placed on the areas where High Definition 4-D liposuction was performed. An initial dressing is applied one week after surgery. Immediately after the procedure, a compression sleeve is placed over the Epifoam dressing. It supports the skin's adjustment processes and must be worn day and night for three weeks, then only at night for another three weeks. Antibiotics are required for prophylaxis for seven days after HD4D liposuction. One week after liposuction, the treated area is often swollen and indurated. The swelling and induration will subside after 2 to 3 weeks and permanently after 3 to 6 months. To avoid irregularities and hardening in the treated areas due to soft tissue healing, lymphatic massage or LPG endermologie treatment is highly recommended one week after liposuction. A stable weight is an important measure to achieve an optimal final result. The fat cells removed during liposuction cannot grow back. Only in case of a strong weight gain, the remaining fat cells can increase in size. The final result can only be judged after a few weeks to 3 months after the procedure. Small skin incisions should be protected with a sunscreen (SPF 50) for the next few months.

After High Definition 4-D liposuction, the sensitivity of the skin to touch may be slightly reduced. Bruising, redness and slight swelling occur regularly after the operation, but subside with time. Slight bumps and asymmetries are also possible. Because we perform regular checkups during surgery, the risk of a bump or asymmetry occurring after surgery is low. Infections, hematomas and necrosis are very rare after 4-D High Definition Liposuction.
