Vor dem Eingriff
Please inform us before any hyaluronic acid injection if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have used other fillers or are taking medication such as anticoagulants. We also ask that you come without make-up and lipstick.
Der Eingriff
You will be given a numbing cream for your lips to calm you down. If necessary, the lips will also be anaesthetised using a special technique. During the injection we advise you to adopt a special posture with your face to achieve the best result. The injection is performed in a room suitable for this treatment, where cleanliness and aseptic conditions must prevail. The injection points are drawn on the cleaned and disinfected skin. Only approved and recognized products are used at the Bellefontaine Clinic in Lausanne. Small pink and swollen areas appear at the injection sites, which disappear after 15 minutes.
Nach dem Eingriff
To promote the result, do not massage or apply excessive pressure to the lips for 24 hours after treatment. You should also avoid sports, sauna and steam baths for the first 24 hours after the treatment. You can usually return to work immediately after treatment. The duration of the effect of the first treatment is in most cases between 9 and 18 months.
Risiken und Nebenwirkungen
The treatment is generally well tolerated. In the first few days after treatment, there may be slight swelling, local hardening or short-term changes in the sensory system of the lips, but these quickly subside. Other possible side effects include minor temporary bruising and redness at the injection site. Asymmetries are rare.
